How do I delete the drop down list of internet sits visited?

I've used Internet Options in control panel, i.e. delete cookies, delete files, clear history. I then went into Content and cleared forms and passwords. I was told this should clear all drop downs and history but it doesn't work. Can anyone help please? Using XP.

Thanks for that, confab, but it doesn't work. Are there some default settings that need changing perhaps?
Run CCleaner and then reboot your pc. It will work.

Also make sure you click on the "Run Cleaner" tab and not the "Analyse" tab.

Thanks confab. I really appreciate your help, but it still isn't doing it.

I run the cleaner, and it shows all files that it says have been deleted, but after re-booting, they're still there. I just don't want these building up because I know they can slow the machine down. I'm baffled by it.
You could have a corrupt version of IE. That is if you are using IE. Could you let me know what version you are running. It's propbably worth doing an IE repair. This will restore any corrupt files and only takes a few mins.

You could also try Cleanup. Again its free and should work.
