can norton antivirus be used in conjunction with spyware doctor software, or does one cancel out the other?

I'm using Spyware Doctor and the new Panda package called 'Internet Security 2007' without any problem.
They don't cancel each other out as each does a different job. One is spyware and the other anti-virus, anti-spam and anti just about everything! You only need one anti - virus on your computer, but can have more than one anti - spyware.
