Samsung E900

I have recently received my new mobile phone. A nice Samsung E900 (the slim slidey one). I like the phone a lot but I like to use predictive text and this phone does not seem to have this specific function.
Does anybody know how I access this or if it is possible to have this function at all? This could be the make or break on me keeping the phone!!

I have a d900 and I just hold the * key to turn on/off predictive text.

Thanks Samz. This has worked fine. Now its in predictive mode, how do I change the word? ie good to home? or add letters or words that may not exist?

press 0 to change the word. this will cycle through the alternative words from the phone's dictionary. if the word you want is not there then after cycling through the available words it gives you the option to spell a word. this will then be saved for next time.

or alternatively you could just read the manual

Thanks. No need to get shirty, the only reason I asked before reading the manual is because I didn't have it to hand and I just thought I would get a quick response.
