I have a Toshiba Satellite 1110 and a couple of times now when its starting up the screen goes completely black. It still makes all the noises it usually does so its starting itself properly but I obviously can't do anthing. I have to let the battery go flat (which takes about three frigging hours) because I can't see the screen to turn if off properly and when I plug it in again it's perfectly fine.

Any idea whats causing this? Its about three years old.

Hi, there is another question exactly the same as yours.

I had the same problem a few months ago. I sent it back to the manufacturer for repair 80 inc. P&P both ways. They informed me that the "Tube" had blown.

Regards
