A friend wants to know if it is safe to link two inverters together. 12v car battery into 230ac - 150Watt. For his caravan. Any help would be appreciated as I cant help him.

If you mean using 2 connected together, to get more power, then don't! You'll blow them up!


If you need more power than one, connect different (mains) things to 2 different inverters.

I agree with Catso, but also tell your friend that car batteries cannot give infinite power output and even the 150 watts unit is going to take 13-14 amps (depends on invertor efficiency) from a battery which will be dead in about 3.5 -4 hours if it is a car size one.
He should really be using a specialised caravan battery - available from all caravan showrooms etc. Different power outputs to car batteries and will last longer.
