Why do I get red x's on some web pages where the picture should be ?

The most common reason is that the computer file holding the picture is missing from where it is supposed to be.

The text bit of the page has a pointer to the picture bit; your browser has followed the pointer, but hasn't found the expected picture there.

and it could be the the poster as withdrawn the pic?
