Hi all....the other day i started up my PC and when windows had loaded i got a message saying b.exe had failed and got an error report. Then as my anti virus loaded (NTL's own) i got a message saying that 2 programes were conflicting with each other and the anti virus would shut 1 down. I have no clue what b.exe is and i done a virus scan and it picked nothing up. I then went online and i got a "page can not be found" message (as if i tried to run internet explorer while off line) I then clicked reload and my homepage loaded fine. Any ideas as to what this could be? spyware or virus???? My PC runs fine and i can't see anything happening to it...not slowing down or getting popups/redirected...oh...apart from now if i try to burn something via nero it locks up when doing a leadout! I'm confused :-(

b.exe doesn't sound like a normal part of the windows software or applications on it. It does sound rather like malware.

Is your AV software now running properly? A 'just anti-virus' program probably won't detect spyware and such like.
