I need a set-top box to connect to a tv which does not have a SCART socket. Any suggestions for an inexpensive option ?

Have a read here it may help you.Should be able to connect any cheap Freeview to your non scart TV with the right connectors.

You can use the ariel out put of the freeview box but the TV will need to be tuned it to recieve the signal.
