Layout in 'Outline View' in Word

I'm using Word to put together a document, and I'm using Outline view, which I've used a few times before, ages ago. All the text is bunched up in the left hand half of the screen, and it struck me there may be something wrong with the way I've got it set up. Is this how it should look? Or is there a way of setting up the page so that the text spreads further across?

The reason I ask is it gets a bit awkward scanning through the document when each line is so short, since it makes the document unnecessarily long and thin. I know I can use a split screen, and I am, but I'd like to be able to view it more normally, without having to use Print Preview.

Just tried it, Rojash, and it made the typeface HUGE! Worth a shot though. Thanks for the suggestion.

start in outline view>tools>options> check "wrap to window" ..hope that's what you mean

Bimbim, thankyou, that's perfect! For the first time I can actually see the page the way it's meant to be. Can't imagine why I couldn't work it out for myself (could it be something to do with Word being so bloated with features you actually get lost in it trying to sort it all out?).

Thanks again, it makes the document readable at last.

you're welcome snook ,makes a change for me to answer something.!. i find with Word it's often a case of having a rough idea & then looking in options
