I used to get a small preview window in Windows explorer (file explorer not internet explorer) I found it useful especially with photo's because you could see what it was without having to do a double click full open etc. Anyway something has changed, some option or other has been changed somehow and I can't seem to find how to turn it back on. The help just doesn't seem to find the option I'm looking for, anyone know?

Assuming you're on XP, do you have the blue bar at the left? If you can see the "Details" bar in it, click the downward-pointing chevrons to show the picture. You could also change the view to "thumbnail".

It's the same in all Windows versions. In Explorer, click Tools, Folder Options. On the first page, choose "Enable Web content in folders" under Web View.
