I'm writing up a report for college and the guidelines say it has to be "double spaced". Does this just mean press enter twice between each paragraph? It would seem a bit much if it was between each line. Thanks

Double spacing means a blank line between each line (so the tutors have space to write comments. If you are using Word then press Ctrl and A, the CTRL and 2 and that will doublespace your document.

Hope this helps - and hope it goes well.

In Word, the method is to go to Format, then Paragraph. It will probably already be on Indents & Spacing. Go down to Spacing/Line Spacing and change from Single to Double.
Should have said another method, not the method. Scotman84's is a useful shortcut.

Gawd seems a bit much doesnt it? thanks folks

It is, isn't it. However (as I never need to use it) I see that there is a nice short cut (this is Word 2003) to the right of the justification icons at the top of the screen. There is an icon with arrows pointing up and down with lines between and an arrowhead to the right. Clicking this gives you a choice of line spacing straight away.

Hope that's the 'best'?
