Since the weekend, when my firewall expired without warning, I can connect to the internet, but pages won't load at all and 'bytes received' stays in the low hundreds. I'm on wireless broadband, and have connected via my boyfriend's laptop and it works fine, so it can only be a problem with my PC. I've done a virus scan and checked for spyware, but nothing came up. Does anyone know anything else I could try before I format and start from scratch? Any advice would be gratefully received. Mind you, my boyfriend's laptop is much better than mine, so if all else fails I'll have to borrow it permanently. Thanks in advance!

The clue is that your firewall expired, some of these are set to disable your internet connection to ''protect'' it once the firewall is out of service, try uninstalling the firewall first and if that does not work you might have to look around the FAQ on the firewalls web site.
