How Do They Do It
Watched an episode of 'how do they do it '
This one was about Facebook and the number of servers, amongst other things it requires .
There are acres of servers and still they need more , requiring the construction of more buildings for the weekly arrival of servers .
Truly an eye opener as to what a massive technical infrastructure it is.
I don't know much about these things , but wondered if the technology will be there in the near future to reduce the number of servers that's required to run these tech companies ?

So yes ever more powerful CPUs will be available. The holy grail is Quantum computing which is very much experimental at the moment. Facebook etc also needs huge amounts of storage space and that too grows at a similar rate to CPU power. The only reason we have "AI" is because of ever more powerful CPUs and storage meaning that previously non viable algorithms can be executed. There is no such thing as AI really but society has irrevocably called it that.
