Today  I need everything I use, ie contacts,  what's app, gallery,  Facebook, games etc. I have a A09 and have just bought a sim free A26

smart switch will do it for android.

Question Author

Not sure what or how I get smart switch,  do I open it up from playstore. Sorry I know I sound stupid but I Don't want to do anything wrong. Thought I could do it myself before  asked neighbour

down load the app from playstore and follow the instructions.

As you're transferring dat from one Samsung Galaxy phone to another, it would seem simplest to use Samsung's own dedicated app to do the job:

"As you're transferring dat from one Samsung Galaxy phone to another, it would seem simplest to use Samsung's own dedicated app to do the job:" - yep "smart switch" as I said at 21:34

TORATORATORA we know you did but we're giving extra info, no need to get the hump!

Just got a new Samsung for my wife and used Samsung Smart  Switch to transfer all the data - worked perfectly.

Use the “Quick Switch” or “Phone Clone” Feature (usually built in)Following below are the steps you need to follow :

1. Turn on your new phone and start the setup process.

2. When it asks “Do you want to transfer data from your old phone?”, tap Yes or Next.

3. Choose Android as the source device.

4. Use the cable that came with your new phone to connect the old one (usually USB-C to USB-C).
– If both phones are Samsung, you can also do it wirelessly.

5. On your old phone, you'll be asked to approve the transfer — tap Allow.

6. Choose what to move over (photos, contacts, messages, apps, etc.), then tap Start.

That’s it! Your data will copy over — you can just sit back and let it do its thing. It might take a few minutes.
