Is it possible to download music from iTunes onto my Mac and transfer it to my Philips HDD120 music player, or are the two not compatible?

I dunno. But, if you find they are incompatible, you could burn the iTunes downloads to cd, then re-encode them but in mp3 format, then stick them on the Philips doo dah. Bit of a faff, but better than nowt. :)

I just looked up the HDD120 on amazon and it seems to play mp3s only - as music from the iTunes store is in (DRM'd) AAC format, you would have to convert the songs to mp3 by some means. Probably iTunes won't let you do that, because of the DRM thing, but some other software probably will (i'm not an expert).

I also found a review which said the HDD120 is only compatible with PCs, but seeing as you already own it i'm assuming it works ok with your Mac!
