Thank you all SO much for your excellent advice re copying pics from my PC back to the SD card.

Success! I took the SD card into Boots and as you said, the pics were on the card even though I couldn't view them on the camera.

Whilst out shopping, I bought some discs so I can save my fave pics as it must be terrible to lose them if your PC dies.

Yes, gucciman, I'm on AOL but didn't know about the photo printing. I will be checking it out later on today though!
