Over the last hour or so, every time I try to go onto Facebook all I get is a screen saying, 'Invalid Slice'

The is an 'OK' option and when I click on that the screen says, 'Something went wrong' - no more details.

Any ideas of what's going on here?

Perhaps you need to reload the page. Maybe it's just a glitch. Or sometimes, the problem is not with your Facebook account but rather with the Facebook post itself. The thing is, I only recently found out that you can buy Instagram likes and followers. And more often than not, if you use that kind of service, there will be some glitches. I don't know about you, but it was a huge shock. I mean, years and years of using Facebook, and I only found out about it now?
