Does anyone know if Microsoft (preferably UK) has an email address? As techno-idiot number 1, it would be a heck of a lot easier for me to put my case across by email, rather than having to phone MS and have some techno-person blinding me with techno-terminology. They do have on their support site, an edit field into which you put your query, but it's only a few words long and then disappears! Ta Muchly and Keep Well All!

Can't find an email address for them, woodelf - just online chat which is probably a bot. Maybe worth a try

Normally, I would, Maydup, but it would involve a breach of confidence...nothing illegal, I hasten to add, just massive time and effort - and that's all I'll say without betrayal.
Barry, I haven't a clue what bot means - and the live chat option doesn't work with my screen reader or at least doesn't allow me enough time to "say" anything within strict number of words, before disappearing if the limit is reached! But Many Thanks Both.
'Bot' is the usual term for a robotic chat service or robotic opponent in a game - not a real person.

You'll probably have to bite the bullet and call them. If you explain the situation they may give you an email address if it can't be solved over the phone.

Good luck!
A key problem of getting any type of support at all from Microsoft is that, basically, they provide no support whatsoever (other than online forums) to the likes of you and me. It's only businesses who pay to subscribe to Microsoft's own support services that can access it. Everyone else has to rely upon independent technicians (or sites such as this one) to get any help with Microsoft products.
