Went to Durham cathedral to see the moon( no man on it) Buzz Aldrins son was giving a talk for £5 which we didn’t stay to as we needed to be home as son in law is taking grandson to start his 20 week job, must confess it just looked like a giant Christmas bauble hanging from the ceiling of the cathedral :0)))

It’s doing a UK tour apparently Naomi
I wouldn't have paid a fiver to listen to him either, Bobs. Not as if it was he who walked on the big lump of Cheddar, is it :-)

Exactly Ken, I can’t be bothered with those that earn a crust on the back of others , usually Dad, like a few 60s singers etc, they step in to the band on tour
I believe the effect at night is beautiful.

'Moon not exciting enough' say disappointed trippers.

I'm not sure what's missing from a scale model of our nearest space neighbour that's left you wanting more.

you can see the moon in the sky free of charge most nights and its a lot bigger than one you could fit in a church
Question Author
Maybe at night would have been better I suppose Dougie
Indeed. Word is it shines like a spoon. :-)
Is this the son that Buzz sued?
Question Author
No idea Barry
Well, it's a half term activity so directed at children. He's the son of an astronaut and he's going to be telling kids what that was like seeing his dad go to the moon. Seems fun to me, and I bet that moon will look amazing at night.
Question Author
That’ll be.much more impressive Mamya
I would pay £5 to listen to the talk.
Question Author
Time was against us Naomi

Looks like it’s a world tour that’s been going on for a while. Sorry I can’t post a link but if you google ‘moon tour uk’ ….

First I’ve heard of it.
