Audible Books & The Device I Need.

Evening all. I'm thinking of buying a device that I can listened to audible books with headphones. I have no idea where to start. Could someone suggest what I would need please. Many thanks.

I have nothing like that, but am happy to buy something if that is what I have to do. I'm anticipating being incapacitated for a fair while so it would be worth it to me! Thanks for your prompt answer.

Virtually any smart phone or tablet (android or apple) will do (as long as it has a headphone socket).

I use my iphone all the time for audible - works very well.

I have and use Audible on my Kindle Fire tablet. They're fairly cheap (usually under £50) and are compatable with most headphones.

You would download the Audible app (although it's probably pre-installed by Amazon) - then log in to your audible account which you have created and then managed on your laptop.

Tenrec, if you were to buy one of the kindle fires from Dave's link, you'll find that Audible is already on the tablet as standard. They're both owned by Amazon.
