word tables

Hi, I use word 2000 and have a problem at times with the table duplicating some entries on the next sheet. This is not intentional and I have to spend time correcting the problem. I cannot remember if entries on one sheet are copied to the other sheet, as this problem only occurs ocassionaly. Do you have any idea why this is happening. I have googled to find the answer and although I find lots of tips I have not been able to find anything that will solve this problem. I work in print view and the table is often over 20 pages long.
