Mp4 On Powerpoint

I have been sent an MP4 file with sound and vision on it.

I want to transfer it to a Powerpoint - but the PP blocks it and appears to suggest that I am missing some software.

Can anyone help please?

what version of PP are you running? earlier versions only support WMV.

.....unless you have "Quicktime" installed.

Hi Mushroom - it will be the latest PP - I bought it last week.

ah ok. only other thing, is MP4 in H.264 format?

if it is, then I'm out of ideas, sorry.
