... Right overhead here at the moment. Sky has gone black just as I was trying to get things planted up and tubs filled.

So sunny and warm here earlier, i was planning on having a walk into town. However, last 20 mins or so has seen the skies darken (grey rather than black) and the wind has picked up sufficiently enough for me to close the back door. Just begun raining, too. Same happened yesterday and we experienced thunder, lightning and rain.

This is one big storm here Ken directly overhead for the last 20 minutes and about 20 strikes within a couple of miles in the last 10 minutes. The rain is now bouncing and hail in it.
It's been raining here...southwest...on and off. Supposed to have stopped by now, and I was going to pop to Lidl. But it's still raining.
We had thunder, lightener and heavy rain earlier. Really sunny now.
We had thunder yesterday but the storm never really resolved, feels like it's brewing up for another try.
I take it the link you've provided shows lightning strikes/ I've switched it to real time and have just seen 4 simultaneous strikes just off the coast. Does that mean it's moving away from you and heading out to Ireland?
Looking grim here, West Norfolk, just starting to rain. I can't believe how cold it is though, especially after last year.
Lovely and sunny SE Hampshire, I've just been mowing the lawn.
Correction; having just played about with the map, i see that if the storm continues to move away from you in it's present direction, it will hit the Isle Of Man rather than Ireland. Geography never my strongpoint :-(

No Ken. The storm brewed up right overhead here and if anything has moved down through Oswestry and towards Worcester. Looks like another is brewing out over the Wash and Norfolk as Zebo ha just indicated. You can play with settings on that site Ken and have tracking lines from the detection stations and a click for every discharge. You can set it for America or Europe as well. Good site when the thunderstorm season is with us. The Dutch are getting a bit now too.

I was gardening wearing a t-shirt and more than warm. Felt a cool breeze and within 5 minutes we were dashing in. Didn't fancy standing in a thunderstorm with a garden fork or rake in my mitts.

After a stormy cold afternoon it is now blues sky in all directions and the Sun blazing down again. Hope that was the "clear the air" storm that ushers in a warm spell for us all.
Where are you Togo?
We had a Twister here yesterday ,hail, thunder and lightening, sunshine and very heavy rain , calm today with rain expected this evening
There are weird storm 'cells' passing all the time here (well, for last 3/4 days). Sunny warm spring day one minute / grass covered in hailstones & sleet the next.

N.Wales Bobbi. I have been watching a low pressure area slowly moving our way across the South of Ireland. It was almost stationary for 2 days but has now started to shift Northwards which seems to have let some of the very warm air that is West of the Bay of Biscay come our way. Hence the electric storms. Africa is cooking a hot one at the moment with Temps. up in the high 90s F. for thousands of miles in all directions.
Driving rain and wind here as I type, stripped the bed this morning and hung the bedding on the line to dry and it did in sunshine , weird weather indeed
