Lost Notes File From Phone

I have lost notes from a phone. Photos etc are still OK. A couple of companies I have spoken to say that there's no way of retrieving them. Is this true? I always thought that data on a PC or phone can always be retrieved. Are there any specialist companies/individuals who deal with this sort of problem? Any help would be appreciated.

There are several software programs which claim to be able to recover data from an android phone. (I'm assuming that you've got an Android phone, although you've not actually told us). They sometimes require you to 'root' your phone first though which, in itself, can carry risks. (Get it wrong and you may end up with a 'bricked' phone!). So proceed with caution:

(Ignore any 'free' programs that you might find by googling though. They're all cons in that, at the very best, all they'll do is to show you that they've found the file you're looking for. You'll then have to pay for a licence key in order to actually recover those files. So be prepared to pay for some suitable software).

Before going any further and paying anything.Usually if it is an android phone and you have a google account on it,then it usually backs up stuff to your google account.Try on a pc logging into google and see if its all in there.if its a iphone its usually all in itunes

"always" is a bit strong. Sooner or later all tech needs to reclaim unused resource in order to reuse it. That's why you don't save or install anything on a drive you hope to recover something from; in case it gets overwritten.

More information. I'm a very dim regarding phones. Mine is an iphone. It began to run out of storage, became unstable and then I lost all my notes. It wasn't backed up, so there's nothing on itunes or icloud. Can I still retrieve the notes?
