Wireless Chargers And Adapters

I know nothing of these but have just spent too much money getting a slack usb port replaced on a device (yes, I know I could have done it myself....).

I believe I could buy a wireless charger and a 'bit' that stays in the charging port of the device so I don't have to keep plugging the gadget in to charge it,

Can you recommend such a thing?

Yes, wireless chargers are very useful...but the gadget to be charged needs to have the necessary internal "stuff"...you can't wirelessly charge anything that isn't compatible.

ginge, I thought some wireless chargers came with adapters that stay in the device's charging port and allow the wireless charging of devices that don't have it inbuilt.
Am I mistaken?
What model of 'phone do you have?
Yes, such things are available but I'm not sure how well they may work with any given device. When you buy them, they usually list "suitable for X, Y, Z"...may not work with A, B, C.

Thanks, both. I was not aware of the magnetic chargers and that's another option.
Corby, that's exactly what I was thinking of. It's not for a phone, it's for my ereader
With one of my previous 'phones so was able to remove the back and insert a thin strip to allow wireless charging.

My worry about having the similar thing on the outside would be the strip breaking where it bends by the port.
What reader do you have?

A Kobo Glo

The magnetic cables are probably the best option for me. Cheaper, too, than buying a wireless charger + adapter thingies
You can get them for readers and definitely for some of the Kobo models but couldn't see one for yours.

I was about to suggest getting the cheaper, magnetic option.
