Are you on a phone or computer?

If on a phone if you press and hold on the picture/video it should come up with options, including to copy it or forward it, to save to your files or send it on, eg via email if you have an email app on your phone, post it to social media etc...

I'm on a smart phone

I can forward it but it doesn't give an option to copy it.

How do I post it unto AB?
Don’t think AB supports Facebook links.
It probably originated on YouTube. Search for it there, and copy the YT link to here.
Rather than tap the picture or the message, hold your finger on it and you'll have alist of options, one of which is Save. The picture or video is then saved on your phone with all your photos.
You'll have to use an image uploading programme to post it on AB. This one has been suggested and seems fairly easy to use

There is also an option to save all photos and videos directly to your camera roll. On iPhones anyway. Go to settings (WhatsApp), then to Chats and activate Save to Camera Roll. Thaen all photos go to your Photo App.
Any images or videos that are sent to me on WhatsApp are autosaved to my gallery.
And me (which is very irritating as I get a lot of pictures of one relative's dog and another's everything - food, clothes, make-up, good and bad hair days, home decor.....)
I don’t give Facebook/WhatsApp access to my photo library.
There are very few people I would give that permission to, so I am not going to give it to Mr Zuckerberg with his bad record on privacy.
If you go to settings WhatsApp Prudie, you can turn the auto save off.

Then just save the photos you want to keep. My relative is the same with pets and garden pictures. Nice to see but I used to foget to delete them and ended up with no storage space.
Thanks Maydup, never knew that was there. Have done that and also had a massive clearout :-)
I need to do that too! I also never knew there was the option
Where in settings is this?
Settings : storage and data
Go into WhatsApp, Settings, Chats, save to camera roll
