Where all the photos that I have ever saved will be all in one place?
When I first got this computer, I wasn't sure where to save photos, so they are all over the place, a lot of them in documents etc.
If there is such a place, could you tell me how to access it in case I don't know? TIA.

i don't think so, but you can do a search by the file type (.jpg etc) and it will find them all.
Have you got Cloud Barsel?! It will be in your settings
Open file manager - it looks like a yellow briefcase on your taskbar at the bottom of the screen. In the big search box click on the little arrow and scroll down to choose 'this PC'. In the small search box on the left type .jpeg and hit search. This will bring all your jpeg images up (it will take time) which you can then move to 'pictures' by selecting them all and dragging to the picture folder.
Repeat for the other formats your photos may be in

I'm pretty sure I don't use cloud Bobbs but how would I know?
Do they all automatically go there without you knowing?
yes there are
because the police use software to seek out hidden narty narty jay-pegs - no to sniff out hidden photies
so it can be done - - but I havent seen one

I store all mine in docs under F - for photies
Mine go there and to Amazon photos ,if you have Cloud it would show in your settings
Typical cloud services you might use are ICloud Photos, Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive. I think you would know if you used them
Much better explanation here, Barsel Noelia, I got the free switch the same as you and two additional gold bars free. Otherwise it is exactly the same :

Thanks barry, will try that. Your first suggestion didn't yield many photos, but your second suggestion sounds good. I expect it might take some time to do, but will come back later to let you know.

Sorry barry, still not working for me. I got as far as

Next, click the search box at the top right of the window. Doing so will display the otherwise hidden “Search” tab at the top. Switch to that tap, click the “Kind” button, and then select “Pictures” from the drop-down menu.

which is from the link you put on, but there was no 'kind' button, so I typed it in manually as it said you can, but it came back with no items.
Oh heck. I just selected 'this pc' in the big search box and typed 'pictures' in the small search box. My PC is finding thousands of pictures all over the place.
Good luck :D
Barsel do you know which version of Windows your PC is running?
Question Author
ok barry I will try that, I'll just type pictures in the little search box and hope it will find the ones that aren't actually in my pictures folder.
Don't go away, but if you have too, come back later. :-)
If you ever get your computer sorted out, you might find that it's best to put your photos on a disc. At least then, they'd all be in one place.

TonyV Windows 10.
I am now searching the same way for 'photos' and bringing up different results
Searching for photos will probably give you the results you want
Question Author
bookbinder, that's what I'm hoping to do. When I find them, I can delete the ones I don't want, then put the ones I want to keep onto a USB stick. Just got to find the little blighters first.
Question Author
Now I have a better idea how to look for them, it seems they are in more places that I realised. I've also come across some screenshots, so I think this is going to take me a long long time to sort out. Thanks for all your help.
