I know which is more likely and I won't be budged on that.
It would explain a lot.
roy - // Clearly a network of ABers has been set up...for what reason though? //

Some AB'ers make individual contact through Facebook or similar - there is no 'network of AB'ers', you are letting your imagination run away with you! LOL!!
I've often said that the 'bat signal' has been sent out and then hey-presto...things happen.
ABAnon?
This thread is getting weird now...AB conspiracy theories next?
Andy you appear to be backtracking on what you said though, in that, there was no mention of FB?
Perhaps you're not in the gang, AH.
I still don't know that.
some are in contact via e mail, like boaty, minty, Lj i think.
Oh well there certainly used to be.
What on earth is going on?
can include a mpg of you taking your clothes off please

Don't Panic Mr Hopkirk... They're coming to get you ;-)
Lots of "organisations" or companies have an email address that is used by employees to both make contact with each other, or to mail in their own name, or receive mail to them specifically from outside the organisation to conduct company business. I had one at the last two companies I worked for. All our local government and council employees have an email address that contains a version and finishes with the local authority name. For instance up here our local authority employees have an email that ends @conwy.gov.uk
It should come as no surprise that individuals who are representatives of AB have been granted an email facility that is indeed part of the domain. Perhaps someone, who is friends, or related, has mistakenly emailed Sue using the "wrong" trousers, err I mean email account. The one that is intended to be used incognito, and only amongst other abmail accounts. We know that ab has email because you can use it if you want top post a fruitless complaint or query, but you cannot email each other using it cos you don't have permission. The real question is why is it a secret, and is someone in the doodah? Sue seems to have gone verr verr quiet since posing the question.
These kind of threads irritate me, why can't some be open and honest?
Or maybe Sue didnt express her question very well and some have gotten hold of the wrong end of the stick. Sounds to me like someone replied to her post and she got the standard email. Hopefully Sue will remember to return and will clarify things???

Maybe they are - there is nothing hidden, so no-one is saying there is, because that would be untrue.
Was the subject of the email something like "Dear Suetheramble, you have received a response on The AnswerBank"?
Surely Sue is not one to be emailing the Ed with complaints or "reports" ... and then forgetting?
The simplest solution is usually the one Ellipsis I agree, this thread prompted me to visit my Answerbank folder in the dusty depths of my emails - I have just cleared 3,740 of them.

This thread makes me smile though, it's reminiscent of the intense speculation about who shot J.R.
