emmie, have you done the above and got rid of apps you don't need or use? Plus pictures/videos and downloads? If you have and you still don't have space, I agree with barry - some apps just seem to grow of their own accord so deleting and starting again might be an idea. Other than that get a new pnone. Very easy to do online
Question Author
deleted everything that can be got rid of Youtube last time out, no pictures got rid of those before too, or i should say i copied them across to laptop those i wanted to keep.
Question Author
i don't use much not FB or Instagram, and can't find a way to delete them off the phone...
I only use my phone for call, messages and whats app. No photos, emails or any apps. No storage problems. Have you cleared everything you don't use off your phone
Question Author
calmk i think so, don't have photo's on there now,
I don't know what else further to say than what chris has posted on how to do it. if you have done that and it didn't work, I don't know how else to help!
Question Author
thanks for trying, i don't know what happens if it runs out of storage, does the phone stop working? -
Seems you still have lots of storage room left.
Micro SD cards are available in most major supermarkets. e.g. Asda
https://groceries.asda.com/product/data-storage/san-disk-32-gb-micro-sd-card/1000262322137
or Tesco
https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/304048179
(They're also available online too, of course)

The card slots into the side of your phone, alongside its SIM card. See pages 23 and 24 here:

^^^ See the pretty pictures, Emmie ;-)

Tony, I think she only ghastly 429 mb left, very little
emmie, could you clarify if you have actually done the thing chris posted in his link on the first page?
Aha, Alava!

It looks like Samsung have moved the location of the slot for the micro-SD card! My link refers to the latest model but it appears that it's different with older ones. (Thanks for that!)
Question Author
yes it quite an old phone. -
Question Author
