I would like to meander leisurely through the programmes on offer to decide which to add to my saved list but if I click on one to find out what it’s about, within a few seconds the information disappears and the programme begins playing. Is there any way I can stop that?

naomi; Are you doing your search on your computer or phone ?
if so it's all a bit chaotic, if you look on your smart tv it's much better.
Question Author
I am looking on my smart TV, Khandro, but thanks to Douglas and Shaneystar I now know it's a common problem - and how to fix it.

Many thanks for your answers.
^ Good, have you tried 'Ethos' yet?
Question Author
Not yet, Khandro, but when I've sorted this problem out I'll search it an add it to my list. We're watching Breaking Bad at the moment and thoroughly enjoying it. It's different to say the least!!
this is what we in IT call the ministry of crap software. All software must go to a finishing school where it must be rendered as annoying as possible by having all the defaults set to something that no one would want.
Glad you’ve sorted the problem Naomi.
One of my most absorbing pastimes these days is going through Netflix and adding anything which has the slightest bit of interest for me, to my list.
It’s meant we’ve watched things we normally would have passed by and widened our horizons.
Naomi, after BB watch Better Call Saul, that's excellent too.
Even better, I would say. The main disappointment being that they're still making it!
why is that a disappointment?
Question Author
Vagus, I like to browse too - hence this thread - but we’ve had some worthwhile recommendations from here - ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ and ‘Unorthodox’, both courtesy of Khandro - and both excellent. ‘Breaking Bad’ we tried because we knew it was popular… and now I know why.

TTT, others have recommended ‘Better Call Saul’ and we will watch it when we’ve finished ‘Breaking Bad’. What a character! Got to laugh at him.
> why is that a disappointment?

Binge watching has become a habit. I enjoy seeing something from start to finish over several nights (The Queen's Gambit)/weeks (Breaking Bad).
That was a good question Naomi thank you - it was something that had niggled me. I shall follow Shaney's advice.
Recommendations- The Spy - based om a true story - Sacha Barin Cohen unusually playing a non comic part and I thought it was excellent.

Thanks, Rosie. I'll take a look at that.
Whatever you do, don't start watching 'Black Money,Love' it's Bollywood meets Quentin Tarantino via Istanbul. I gave it a few minutes to test it & Mrs K. loves it. I have no means of escape & there's 164 episodes!
Rosie, have just added The Spy to my list, thanks :)
Recommend the film The Foreigner with Pierce Brosnan and Jackie Chan. Really good thriller.
Question Author
Thanks BD. I'm adding all these suggestions to my list.
