Retrieving Sky Recorded Progs From Old Box.

Had my new Sky Q box fitted. Still got my old Sky+ box. which failed. Apparently the LNB developed a hole allowing water ingress. I need to find out exact titles of recorded progs on the old box. Would swapping boxes cause any problems. I assume recordings are still on hard drive.Thanks.

When talking to a Sky rep on this subject, he told me that if you have a Sky Q box fitted anything on the old box is lost.

Same her but why is it not possible to transfer from one box hard drive to another?

Same thing with Virgin - new box, recordings lost. It's blooming annoying, that's what it is. Apparently, it is because of copyright.

tiggerblu10 A question I’ve asked but haven’t got an answer to. With all the tech about I would have thought it possible. If you’ve recorded it, I can’t see your breaking copyright if you transfer it for your own benefit.

The only options on that link that work take hours and need the sky box to work. You have to play the recordings in real time and record the recordings on to DVD (assuming you have a DVD recorder) or your PC.
