Phone Has Stopped Working

have a samsung galaxy J3, and it stopped working altogether,

comes up with message Nfc service has stopped. no idea what that means
does anyone. I need my phone, tried switching it off but same message comes up.

the date and time on phone show 25th Deember 06.35 not that means anything.

Removing the battery and then replacing it is worth a try. Simply switching off doesn't shut everything down; removing the battery does.

i can take it to a EE shop, but does anyone have a clue what the message of "unfortunately Nfc has stopped " -

Near field communication. Something phones have so you can put them near something else and exchange data. Would be a symptom rather than a cause.

i can't seem to access the battery as the case i have is stuck firmly. will have to take it to EE shop and see if they can get it off.

never had this before, its died on me once but got it working again. OG not sure what that means..

tried googling but at a loss to know what it means, can't switch phone off nor can i get case off the phone.

Can you access settings? This might work:

On your Android device, tap on “Settings.”
Select “Connected devices.”
Select “Connection preferences.”
You should see “NFC” and “Android Beam” options.
Turn both of them off.

I’d go with bhg’s suggestion.
Whenever I’ve had any kind of problem with anything electronic, detaching and re-attaching the battery has usually resolved the matter in 90% of such instances.

am no techie but phone is just dead. press on any icon nothing happens

If you can't get the back off then powering off, leaving, then powering up again might be all you can try. Good luck at the shop.

got the case off but can't find a way to open the phone.

I was going to suggest powering off, as apposed to switching it off. Tech is a nuisance when it goes wrong.
