hi peeps, just a quick question, for someone who is on a download limited contract, if they were to change to an alternative DNS server would thier isp still be able to track the amount they download ? (streaming lots of christmas films and using up thier download quota) they have tried vpn's but with an already slow internet speed the vpn causes the films to buffer a lot, thanking you in advance for any replies

Yes
A DNS server is used purely to translate Website names into IP addresses. So the answer is Yes.
Changing DNS or using VPNs will have no effect on download limits.
But, one has to ask, what ISP is still offering download-limited contracts these days? !!
