specifically - i like to do jigsaws on my laptop, while watching videos and surfing the net etc - all the same time.

problem is, i can adjust most windows to the size, shape and position i want them to be - but the jigsaw program i use, doesn not have this option - there is only 'fullscreen' view....

so i was wondering if there is a way i can use this program within its own window on my desktop = so i can adjust the size etc?

im thinking some kind of 'virtual desktop?

the windows one seems to only allow to see one window at a time

does anyone know of a simple virtual desktop function or download that i can use for this?

thanks (im on windows 10)

get another screen, you can have two.
this will help

but an actual other screen will be better
Do you open the jigsaw in an app or browser?
Can you provide a link to the jigsaw app?

Also, bit of a longshot, but what happens if you press F11 whilst playing a jigsaw?
forgot about this, assuming you are using windows in some form press alt+tab to instantly move to the next application window.

basically i want to be able to resize the window of the jigsaw app - but there is no option to do that within the app itself - it is just fullscreen.
i want to be able to resize it the same way you can resize any other window in windows.
OR
open a virtual desktop, which will display this app in its own separate desktop window, inside my main desktop window

thanks all

thanks Tora - but i have just installed that, but it seems to just allow me to have numerous desktop views - but they are only visible one at a time
ok I haven't tried it myself, ill see if I can find something better.
read this it may help, you may already have what you need on W10
https://www.online-tech-tips.com/free-software-downloads/split-or-divide-your-desktop-screen-into-multiple-parts/
look at winsplit revolution, looks to do what you need
can you move the jigsaw window at all, if you can grab it and move bottom right until it turns to shade then release it should snap to half the screen.
Question Author
the window will not move at all, there are no controls, just minimise to task bar.
it goes to complete full screen and i cannot acces anything at all on the laptop while the app window is open.

so far, the only software that has split the screen into two is Divvy - but that just splits the view of the app - cutting the jigsaw in half - it doesnt resize it, and has no scroll bars to move the window, so its useless.
Question Author
winsplit rev splits the screen - but just cuts the image in half, rather than resize it ... it does easily allow me to put the window anywhere though - halves or corners - so its possibly workable if i just work on sections at a time - and move the other windows about as i go, not ideal though, i like to work on them as a whole

however for some reason it has enabled the taskbar to be visible while doing the jigsaw while this app is running - none of the others showed this ... so some of the other apps i installed may have some functionality now, i will try them but im not that hopeful as itd be a conflict

anyone know if there is a way to install scrollbars on apps?
i wouldnt mind having to scroll side to side to do it

thanks

thanks
