I have a set of conditional mergefields that check the contents of various cells in an Excel data source. If a cell contains a particular code (eg 'PIF2') the mergefield returns varying numbers of sentences (being various questions they sometimes apply or not).
If the cell is empty, the conditional mergefield leaves a blank space.
Since there are over 250 or so conditional mergefields & I only need 20 or 30 questions - there is lots of empty space after I merge to a new document.
Can anyone tell me how to automate the conditional mergefield to make it delete all the pilcrows/hard returns if its condition is FALSE - so I end up with just the selected questions on one or two pages?
