Do You Feel The Need To Carry Your Phone Every Time You Go Out?
61 Answers
I’m getting ready to go for a brisk walk with a friend soon, I automatically put my sanatizer and mobile phone ready ( dont want a bag, I’d rather be hands free )
Then I thought, why take a phone on a brisk walk that’ll only take maybe an hour?
Have we become so dependant on a mobile phone that is part of our makeup?
My husband knows where I am and I know my friend will have hers ,it’s her lifeline :0))

I resisted the purchase of a mobile phone for quite some time. However, when I branched out on my own as a decorator, it became apparent that I was missing out on potential jobs by not being readily contactable. Even now I am semi-retired and cherry-picking which jobs I wish to undertake, my mobile is always with me. Doesn't mean I always answer when it rings, though :-)
I don't take mine out if I'm just bobbing out for an hour or two. Like a lot of older people I grew up without a phone in the house, didn't know anyone who had a phone and so far, touch wood, have never needed to call anyone urgently.
I can't think of anyone who would need to contact me immediately, either.
If I were to have an accident while I'm out for that short time I know there would be lots of people nearby who have a phone and would call for help (after videoing the scene first, I expect).
I always take my phone when I go out in the car. Far more likely to need it for breakdown or accident but I keep it in the glovebox, turned off.
