Just noticed a drone flying over the Channel between Folkestone and Calais. What’s that all about?

Google ‘confirms’ it is a drone flying out of Lydd Airport. Possibly looking for illegal activity, but otherwise pretty secretive.

I don't think it is any secret that the Border Force is using a fixed wing drone, G-TEKV, to patrol the channel looking for migrant boats. It is based at Lydd airfield.

When I first saw its tracking, it looked like an 'Etch-a-sketch' trying to fill in the Channel.
One of the invaders ordered a curry from the Guljar Tandoori, on Lydd High Street, via the ‘Just Eat’ app.
If you watch Flightradar24, you will also see a flight coming out of Liverpool flying backwards and forwards over parts of the mainland. I think it is doing aerial photography for someone like Google.
It’s not migrants they’re after, they checking Farage has broken lockdown AGAIN.

A lot of etch-a-sketch activity in the south east today.
flying backwards out of Liverpool sounds exciting.
