Firstly have you changed your email password recently? It sounds more like a device issue than an email problem if you are still getting access via your iPad. On the phone....Open the email app, Click settings bottom left, Click Account settings, Click on your linked email account,Click Password ( update your password to match the server ) Enter your password. Do you also, out of interest, have your devices synced.

If I click on the email app, a box comes up saying ‘Sign in again’, it shows my email address & below it asks for my password, I put my password in (I haven’t recently changed it) & then a message comes up saying ‘Sign-in failed’ & shows my email address again, I can’t get to settings

Everything was was working fine until 18.35 today , suddenly my phone & pc stopped receiving emails but my iPad isn’t affected! It’s weird!
I get this from time to time on a similar phone. Have to put in password a few times then it seems to right itself.
Delete the accounts from the apps on your phone and desktop and then create them again. (You won't lose any existing mail). That usually solves such problems.
To enter settings try "apps", then settings(cog wheel) then under personalisation, choose Accounts.....your email is in there.
