I'm watching the RAF C17 transport aircraft going to Turkey, on Flight radar.
It left Stansted Airport, and is approaching Istanbul.

It's not descending, so perhaps Istanbul isn't the destination.
Still time to find they have misunderstood what we ordered or the items are not quite ready.
We need to be making our own and I'm amazed it's taken so long for Matt Hancock to hand over responsibility for this to someone with relevant business, organisation and management skills. He was trying too hard to do it himself which with hindsight (and possibly foresight) was not the right thing to do.
I am still not clear what role the procurement people at NHS have in all this. I understood that following the Lansley reforms the minister was not allowed to purchase it- it had to be done by the relevant rusts through Public Health England
Are you able to post what you're looking at on here? It would be interesting.

I'm using an app, but I think you can get it on line. Search for flightradar24.
Question Author
On the map it is the aircraft just passing south of Istanbul, probably going to Ankara.
Question Author
It is a bit secretive, showing departure and arrival points as N/A, and the registration as N/A. It does show the aircraft type as C17. It left about the time the news services said it had gone. They said it left Brize Norton, but it shows as leaving Stansted. I saw it fly overhead, and can confirm that. Perhaps it won't from BN to STN to collect aircraft pallets, that's my guess.
Question Author
Heading towards Ankara, but still at full altitude, 33,000 feet.
don't know if this will work :

Think you're right with Ankara
Question Author
Still not descending, so Ankara is out.
Interesting, thanks Sam and Hopkirk.
Question Author
Definitely not Ankara. If it overflys the whole of Turkey, then I've got the wrong aircraft.
Nothing to do with the flight in question but I looked at the USA. I was astounded to see the number of flights in a country that has the highest death rate. European air space is almost empty and the USA is like normal
Could the flight in question be repatriation pick up in India or Thailand etc.
Question Author
I don't think so, it's not really a passenger aircraft, unless it's been reconfigured
European airspace is looking quite full too.
Question Author
A lot of the aircraft you see are cargo flights. More than usual, as a lot of cargo normally goes on passenger flights
Question Author
It's still not descending, and it is running out of places in Turkey to land, so maybe I'm wrong.
what time did you see it fly overhead?

I'm only asking as I'm starting to be suspicious of a few things at the moment.

Something landed at Glasgow Airport about 10 tonight, nothing on F/radar.
3 landings over 45 mins last night and again, none of the flights were on f/radar.
Question Author
I think it's landed at Elazig. It sort of disappeared in that area.
