When I try to open emails in Gmail they just keep buffering but won't open. I got rid of cache but no different..if I delete data will I loose all my emails?

use a laptop to check your gmail, sign into google etc then cheack your emails. delete or save the ones you want. then go back to you tablet
reboot check gmails.
