ive looked on line to see how to delete sent messages but nothing relates to what ive tried like hovering over the text till trash can appears,it doesn't so how do you do this (using chrome an windows 10)

I don't use Twitter (so I'm definitely fumbling in the dark here) but that nice Mr Google suggests that this might work:

Click on the gear icon.
Select Direct Messages.
Find the offending DM.
Click on the trash can.

thats just it though the gear only opens trends, i've looked every in all twitters web site,they say "hover" over the text and delete will appear,we'll not on mine,
i'll live with it. thanks buenchico
Top right hand corner you will see a what is basically a v click on it and it will give you options. One of those options is to delete the tweet.

ok thanks for your help .it is the question mark top right to click on and delete the text and the senders address
