I’m running Windows 7 @ the moment & keep getting a message saying that after January 2019 Microsoft will no longer support Windows 7 - does this mean
my computer won’t work anymore?
Someone suggested I might download (free) Windows 10, can anyone suggest the easiest & safest way to do this please. Tia

Windows 7 will still work but it won't get the updates needed to keep it safe.
Your pc will continue to work fine on W7. Just that you will not get updates for any security flaws. Still quite a few pc's running W7 without any major flaws.

As far as W10 have a read here

Thank you
You may get issues with running more modern programs
CAC - on the other hand if you do upgrade there might be programs and devices that you use now that won't work. Last time I upgraded I lost the use of a laserjet printer and a video editing suite. I'm sticking with Windows 7.
In my experience, W10 is much better than W7. Be bold and advance to the future.
^not a universal experience though. Many tried W10 and returned to W7.
one of my laptops is will not work in win 10 no drivers for it, considered to old...so ill continue to use win 7, some people are still using win xp, and thats older then win 7...so i would not worry.
