Alba 10 Inch Tablet

Hello AB'ers.
My Alba Android tablet works fine but there is one issue. If I leave it on, accidentally or otherwise, when it goes down about 35% battery it seems to drop down to 1%. I do try and keep it charged above 35%. I have read of a few possibilities on some sites but a bit too technical form.
Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

Is it very old - it may just need a new battery or if still in warranty get them to fix it.

A sudden drop from 35% to 1% suggests a duff battery to me.

It is under a year old and not been many hours each day, especially for the first 6/7 months. I have gathered other info too but will probably call Argos soon to see what they say. It is not something I lose sleep over....I just keep it well charged
