I've got Adblock on my computer but when I go on a website it asks me to unblock it as they rely on advertising, so if I don't then I can't see what's on the page! So I unblock it and all the ads come back! The worst ones for me are Adchoices, they are all over the page. Any advice for me, please?

Yeah, it's a cruel world. If they don't want you to be there, then fine, visit somewhere else.
Is it a particular website you are having this problem with, Barsel?
I have trouble with the Independent with that. So I just ignore any links to there xx
Many websites (like the one you're visiting now!) rely on advertising to keep afloat. Does the website in question have a contacts page? If so, I suggest you get in touch and ask them to disable the adverts just for you, explaining in some detail what's so special about you that you deserve a service tailored to your particular requirements.

Well yes but I hasten to say which one because I know what people think of it. I go on it to read the news, and the showbiz news etc, it's the Mail online. Running away now before everyone shouts at me. :-)
Barsel, try reading it on Firefox.

JimF, yeah, like that would work!

OK hc will do. I only added Firefox as a browser yesterday and haven't tried it yet.
Question Author
hc it didn't work. Still loads od Adchoice adverts .
I look at the Mail using Firefox and I've just had to disable Adblock.

I need to know how to get rid of Adchoices.
I know the Daily Mail's adverts are extreme and over the top rendering the site unreadable at times. I know that one adblocker will work but disable it on AB and other sites that aren't so horrible with their ads.

I just did and they've installed the ad blocker warning now too.

That's new.
There is a new browser in development that we pay to use and it recompenses the websites we use for blocking ads. Depending on the cost I'd be very happy to use it.
You just did what, douglas?
The Mailonline site is like reading through a letter box.
If you're using a computer, uou can pause Adblock on a particular site. See here,

They are their own worst enemy, Zebo.
On my mobile I use a browser called Brave. It has a built in adblocker which doesn't seem to trigger the warnings
Corby, he's done that and finds the Mail unreadable with the ads.
