The p.i.r. On my outside security light has due the weather has been flooded. It is now in/op. I have drained and dried it out, no luck . Is this terminal?

No but it could be the end.
probably but if you could try taking it of and drying it out and then testing it with a multimeter (if you have one)
If water has got in once, fuggy, it'll do it again. Anyway, if the IP rating for the light is right, it shouldn't happen.

IP65 or IP66 would be good. The second digit is for water penetration. & is a bit over the top, but it depends how exposed you are.
^^^^ that should read... 6 is a bit over the top
I think you'll find that the terminals are inside.

May or may not be the end. Need to ensure all inside is dry. Doesn't sound hopeful though.
if you take it apart when sealing it back up use some sealant on the joints,
