You've not said where you're clicking on videos. If it's on Youtube I'm not surprised that they won't play. Youtube dropped support for all versions of Internet Explorer some time ago:
https://www.youtube.com/supported_browsers

Further, most websites that display videos (including Youtube and the BBC) used to rely on Adobe Flash but there are security risks associated with using Flash and the vast majority of such sites now use HTML5 instead. HTML5 isn't compatible with older versions of Internet Explorer, such as IE7.

The iTunes issue appears to be separate though, as your choice of browser is irrelevant. Are you using the latest version of iTunes? Which operating system are you using? Have you tried playing the music tracks via a different media player (such as VLC)?

hello buenchico. sorry its been a week since you kindly answered my question.! the videos I click on can be from fanclub websites cinema trailers. when you say " what operating system are you using" that's when im lost. im not technology savvy so anything technical goes over my head. with iTunes I click on a track and it just " circles " round the link but doesn't play. sorry I cant be a bit more clearer.
Your operating system is the version of Window you're using (unless, of course, you're using a non-Windows computer, such as an Apple Mac). Windows XP? Vista? 7? 8? 10?
