Resetting Outlook.com On Smartphone

my son has lost Outlook.com on his smartphone ( my granddaughter put the phone in the loo!!,Had to have the phone attended to at shop.) how does he 'reload' it and having forgotten his password ,how does he reset it. Neither of us are 'techies' Would it be easier for him to go to his 'phone-shop'

What phone is it?

Regardless..
-He goes to the app store.
-He downloads "Microsoft Outlook".
-He then waits for it to download.
-When it downloads, he opens it.
-It will ask for a email address, pop this in.
-When it asks for a password, click "Forgotten password" and follow the steps.

If we know what phone he is using then we will be able to provide further details.

It would be easier for him to sort his password issue out on a desktop computer rather than a phone. Both will work though.
