Can one get a watch which will show times in different time zones on 12 hour format but show bright figures on a dark face for night and light face for daytime

Yes. I believe Casio does them. I have one somewhere. I have never used it due to it's complexity. :-(

think all digital watches do that as for "show bright figures on a dark face for night and light face for daytime"
casio seems ok for that with a push button,
