We recently bought a trekstor tablet from a local computer shop. After a couple of weeks the keyboard stuck. We took it back to the shop who inspected it and said there was a scratch under the glass but they’d send it back to the manufacturer .Today we had a message to say that the manufacturer has said the damage is “customer induced” so not covered under the warranty. There is no way we have caused the damage- it wasn’t dropped- how could you cause a scratch under the glass.? We feel annoyed that we will have to pay for a repair when we collect it.Just wondering if anyone has a similar experience.?

Ok manufacturers will try and avoid replacement, however your contract is not with them but the retailer that sold it. Its the retailer that you should be pursuing for replacement, repair or refund. You may experience some issues now with the manufacturers conclusion on damage, I would contact your local CAB for further advice.
