Help, What Can I Do?

In my failed attempts to recover my Firefox ad blocker, I deleted Firefox from my computer so as to reinstall it.

I now find that I reinstall it because it says that Firefox no longer supports my XP operating system.

Is there anything I can now do apart from scrapping my computer?

Download Chrome or another server.
Use a different browser, there are plenty to choose from. Try Opera
You can probably get around the problem by downloading and installing an old XP version of Firefox and then updating it. The official advice from Mozilla used to be to install v43.0.1, so I'll assume that still holds true. I'll also assume that you're using a 32-bit operating system. If so, here's the file you need:
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/43.0.1/win32/en-GB/Firefox%20Setup%2043.0.1.exe

It might be time to bite the bullet and replace your PC though. I can personally recommend this seller of refurbished models:

Buy smart phone from ebay - all www info emailable/sms & more...

www in your pocket - wots not to like?
I can't believe you would scrap a computer just because you can't get a browser, when there are so many alternatives.
^^^ . . . but possibly not for XP, Hopkirk.

For example Google discontinued support for XP (with Chrome) in 2016.
Try this one, it's supposed to work with XP and has a built in ad-blocker

Until last November I had an XP machine. Couldn't find any browser that would receive updates, but of the ones that would still work with a relatively recent version, Opera seemed the optimum one.
Sorry I`m a bit late. Comodo IceDragon is based on Firefox but has less of its problems and better security etc.
It works on XP through to 8.1 32 or 64 bit so might be worth a shufti as it is still receiving updates;

I`ve been using it since Firefox uninstalled itself from my Win 7 last year and find it works well.
Two days ago it blocked Adbloc and Ubloc though so you might have to find another ad-blocker.
Vintager:
A problem at Mozilla's end resulted in all extensions in use (with both Firefox itself and with forked versions, such as IceDragon and Tor) becoming disabled:

Now that the problem has been fixed, all extensions should automatically have been re-enabled in Firefox, but not necessarily in forked programs. If you've got disabled extensions in IceDragon, uninstall them, close IceDragon, restart your computer (possibly not necessary but often best done anyway), open IceDragon and reinstall the extensions.
Ah, thank you Buenchico, will try that.
